About Me - Margaret Plag
I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA). I have 15 years of experience in the Sport, Health, and Fitness Industry. Having worked with elite athletes at the NSW Institute of Sport and Swimming Australia, pregnant and postnatal women, weight loss, metabolic syndrome, post menopausal, and rehabilitation clients, I have excellent experience in designing individualised and successful exercise programs.
I am also a Head Teacher of the Health and Recreation section at TAFE. Here I manage a vibrant section to provide the best education facility for the community. I also teach Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Prescription, and Rehabilitation classes. Being a teacher means that I am current in the cutting edge literature of the industry.
Recently I have completed Pilates mat and equipment training. I am working with clients privately as well as studio based.
A personal note....
I love health and exercise, most of all I love to help others achieve a balanced life that involves exercise. My whole life has involved exercise in different forms depending on where I am and what I am doing. I have been a triathlete, a gym junkie, an elite sports athlete Exercise Scientist (and I tried very hard to keep up with the athletes training myself), a surfer, and plenty of other things. Exercise should evolve with you... that is how you keep it in your life!
Now, being a mother of 2, I know how hard it is to find time to care for yourself, however being an Exercise Physiologist I know how important it is to maintain good health internally and externally. Let me help you reach your exercise and body goals. I promise it will be fun, safe, and successful!
